20 May 2005 :: 'Revenge of the Sith' Auckland Premiere

Wednesday night (18th May) saw theatres all around New Zealand gearing up for the midnight premiere screening of Star Wars Episode 3. Many cinemas made an occasion out of the event, with Star Wars decor and revelry as a prelude to the film. The Hoyts cinemas in Wairau Park, Auckland, featured the local stormtroopers (and a couple of Jedi!) of the 501st Legion. Entertainment also included much costuming and creature make-up by the Cut Above Academy, and rousing Star Wars theme music from a local orchestral band.
