01 May 2005 :: Vehicle Review - Grievous' Wheelbike

Grievous with Wheelbike Grievous with Wheelbike

The Hasbro 4-inch scale Grievous Wheel bike is an interesting piece. Unlike many of the vehicles, it comes with a figure, but it only has five points of articulation (including the head) so it is very basic.

The bike controls for Grievous are movable, however the arms on the Grievous figure are not. The handle on the back of the bike detracts from it a little for the collector, and is there for play value. The shooting missile isn't too bad, but doesn't actually shoot very far.

The bike legs can fold away quite well, so that the wheels can roll freely, and they do make a nice sound (the wheels are each connected to a large gear). The legs themselves are quite posable, but balancing on three legs is a bit tricky if you want an attacking pose.

Not a bad vehicle, probably give it a four out of five.

Also, keep a look out for the small walker, the AT RT (All Terrain Recon Transport), which is expected to arrive in NZ soon. All other vehicles should be on store shelves by now.
