Welcome to the Rebel Legion NZ Outpost

Welcome to the New Zealand Outpost of the Rebel Legion. The Rebel Legion is the costuming group for all rebel/good guy costumes from the Star Wars universe. It was started in mid-1999 by founder Tony Troxell, and has steadily grown over the years. It has over 1200 members now, with over 1600 costumes - from all over the world.

New Zealand has recently established its own Rebel Legion Outpost. Its members have attended many events, including the regular Armageddon conventions, the Episode 3 NZ charity premiere, and even Celebration 3 - see the gallery for photos. Auckland Armageddon Convention: 25-27 October, 2008. This year's Auckland Armageddon convention saw a record number of official and unofficial Rebel Legion costumes. It was also a milestone in being the Rebel Legion's first official presence at Armageddon, as it shared a stand with the Outpost-42 Garrison in a joint effort to promote both Star Wars costuming groups. Clone Wars Toy Launch: 01 August, 2008. Hasbro, in conjunction with Toyworld, celebrated the release of The Clone Wars, and related, toys and action figures with launch affairs in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Click here to read an event report on the SWNZ, Star Wars New Zealand website.

Armageddon, Wellington and Christchurch: April, 2008.

Celebration 4: 24-28 May, 2007. Star Wars fans from all around the world gathered in Los Angeles, USA, for another fantastic, international Star Wars convention, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Wars. This was a great opportunity to meet with Rebel Legion members from all around the globe.
