And further to getting back to what I was up to B.F:
Padme's Light Blue Tatooine outfit.

That is pattern test number two. I just found out the beads everyone has been looking for is probably stocked by Spotlight;) 8mm flat disks in crystal. I'm probably going to have to order them (they are supplied by Ribtex) but there should be enough time before Geddon. I have a cunning plan for the headdress too. Taking the lead from someone who made theirs from foamies and combining that with how the Elf armour makers make their armour.

I may have to overdye my fabric to be more aqua than minty green. This will require a bit of care as the method I'll be using is not typical.

Looks great Michaela!
How are you planning on getting the motif patterns onto the cloak?

Thanks :) Probably a stamp and then I'll fill in any gaps by hand painting them. Though I may do a full sized stencil so I get the positioning as close as possible;)

Thanks:) I just got the beads for my Padme outfit. I can't believe they were in Spotlight the whole time! The hunt for 8mm pressed glass beads in a coin shape are proving hard to find online for people doing this costume. I have some pressed red glass beads of a larger size so I decided on whim to check out the website of the supplier. Voila they had them in their catalogue. My beads came from Spotlight so I knew spotlight could stock these.. and they do! Well Henderson definitely does.

Now I need to get some dye for the fabric, play around with foam for the headdress (I need my headform for that unfortunately) and decide on what hairpieces to go for.

Oh and find some silvery grey satin bias tape to make piping for the edges of it all.

I also need to find my craft saw and craft knife to see if some materials I have on hand will work for armour.
