Some pics from today.

Very sore feet. Must have been photographed a few thousand times, between us all.

First, Jay:

I really enjoyed my first troop as a 501st member. Bit of a long day but the imperial officers costume is pretty comfortable. My daughter really enjoyed coming along in her jedi padawan costume too -

hi guys,
was a great day.the vibe was electric, the fans where primed and keen, the photo's where non-stop.
i can't believe how many people where standing in line for this event (!!!)
kirrin & i had a beer at the nearest pub (in armor) in the afternoon, was very good !!
the general feeling from the punters was awesome, and wearing the white (or slightly dirty ??!!)
armor was a priviledge.
people came up to us for photo's relentlessly, and we loved it !!
screen accurate troopers,and adoring fans..........heaven on a stick !!
chris & i ate burger king at lunchtime in armor, was a good laugh.
thankyou matt, kristy, dean, and auckland city for the awesome day.
graeme, man you rock,is always a pleasure to be in your company, welcome aboard to mark.
thanks to the girls from brass magazine for being so cool.
was also a pleaure to troop with chris, damn i was glad to see you.peace out to you dude.

Dang! I wish I'd gone now... :( Sounds (and looks) like you guys and gals had a lot of fun. I would have loved to have done some trooping outside the event, it's always the best part! :P

Day 2.

Here's Richard Hatch on stage. He was very interesting, a good speaker, and showed a couple of his sci-fi project teaser vids (including his famous BSG: The Second Coming trailer).

He also signed my Colonial Warrior blaster display (will post pics of that later).

"that guys not a tk,....hes a necromonger !!!!"...........run for your lives !!!!!..............
(slightly miffed that i had to leave as i was with friends and missed seeing matt in the necro armor)
that armor looks swwweeet matt,i must catch up with you and view it sometime.
all in all,day 2 was just as much fun as day one (i just walked through the crowd and enjoyed the gazillions of photo requests.......too cool.the folks loved to pose with me,and i loved the response from them.
the cruisy enviroment, and good vibe mood of the crowd was awesome to be among.
to anyone considering gettin themselves a set of armor,i quote the following famous words from one ferris bueller........" if you have the means,..i highly reccomend picking one up"
(of course,in the movie he is referring to a ferrari, but after the weekend at armageddon,i think a ferrari takes second place to a set of tk armor !!)

It's been a most interesting few days up here... had more photos taken than I could ever count, had conversation with a few names, and got my bum pinched by Jay!

It's been well worth the money spent on the trip up. I can't wait for Wellington Armageddon... got to figure out what set to build for it!
