ABOUT THE OUTPOST-42 GARRISON:
The Fighting 501st Legion is the premiere organised group for people who own and proudly wear the costumes of the stormtroopers (and other imperial characters) from the Star Wars movies. We participate in all sorts of activities, including but not limited to attending Charity and Fund Raising Events and 'trooping' at Conventions.
Membership is organised on a regional basis. Outpost 42 is for members who are New Zealand residents. The outpost title reflects New Zealand's geographical location: Latitude 42 South. If you are from outside of this region, you are more than welcome to peruse this website as a guest, and you will almost certainly be able to find your local chapter via the main 501st Legion website.

This website has been constructed to be the hub of all NZ communication and information.
Official announcements and notice of upcoming events will be made on the News & Announcements page.

HOW TO JOIN THE 501st:
Join the 501st Legion's Outpost 42 and serve the Empire down under!!
If you have any Imperial costume such as Stormtrooper armour, a TIE Pilot's uniform or an Imperial Officer's uniform and you live in New Zealand, we would like to hear from you. Membership is free and open to anyone with an Imperial costume. Minimum age of recruits is 18 years, and your costume must be a professional quality Star Wars costume. Costume can be Imperial, Bounty Hunters, Denizens of the Empire or other "bad guy" costume.

When you are ready to transmit your application, you should:
- follow the instructions on the international sign-up page, which covers all the details and provides an online application form,
- and contact us with your TK-ID, location and contact details and any images you want included under your name on the Members page.
Rebel costumers should join the Rebel Legion, our sister organization.
If you do not live in New Zealand, but want to join an organisation like ours, we suggest you visit the 501st Legion website and locate an Outpost or Garrison near you.
INFO FOR CHARITY EVENTS:
If you require an "Imperial presence" at your next event, please feel free to contact us. Special consideration will be given to non-profit events for children.
